About us
We are Giada Lagorio and Jasmine Pilloni, two product design students of the Politecnico di Milano.

We design Alcide during the course directed by Stefano Maffei, Barbara Parini and Andrea Gianni.

Why Alcide?
Time passing by, food conserving methods have evolved and even our relation with food has changed. By the way, digital or technological change doesn't always mean improvement.

We tried to understand more about the ancient ways of preserving foods and we found out that electricity is not an essential need and sometimes it could be a disadvantage.

So, we assumed that giving right to exist to an analog machine into the digital century would be our first challenge.

We got through local artisans, who positively supported the realization of the prototype and helped us to nail it.

Especially thanks to Vincenzo Curcio, Mario Gianuario, Massimo Virtuani and Giovanni Benetti who have been supporting the project, since its birth.

CasoUmano
CasoUmano stands for "Human Case" and it is a funny name for joking about the hard genesis of the project. By the way everything ends good and we finally decided to keep it.
